Front Sight and Ignatius Piazza

Ignatius Piazza is a Man With a Mission to Arm America

"If everyone was trained in guns there would be no debate about gun control in this country. It would be a moot point. Everyone would know how to handle a gun safely. Everyone would know how to be responsible with a gun. Everyone would know how to protect themselves should they be accosted. . . . Training is the one thing the government will never be able to legislate away from you." So speaks Dr. Ignatius Piazza, the founder and director of Front Sight Firearms Training Institute, in an interview in USA Today. Dr. Piazza has been leading Front Sight for about the last twelve years. And quite a job it is: Front Sight is the world’s first luxury residential community based around a shooting school. Basically a gated gun town, Front Sight encourages all its residents to own as many firearms as they can carry, and to receive all the training on safe, effective use as they can.

And what a vision it could be. Dr. Ignatius Piazza muses on the possibilities, "Wouldn't it be nice to live in the safest town in America? We won't have any crime at Front Sight, not with everyone trained in firearms and most everyone owning them.” And couldn’t the same be said about America? According to the article in USA Today, Piazza feels that if all Americans were to receive the training that Front Sight denizens would have access to a few hundred feet away, America would be the safest country in the world.

If Dr. Ignatius Piazza had his way, all of America would receive firearm training (probably from Front Sight), and be empowered to safeguard themselves and their loved ones. According to Dr. Piazza, education and firearms training equals certainty and safety.
